Spring is in the air...
This is our first spring at The Old Cow Shed and we're enjoying seeing the changes in the seasons.
There's an abundance of bunnies in the field behind studio, the pheasants are strutting across the yard on a daily basis and we have new neighbours in the form of the cutest lambs imaginable, seen here gamboling around the field!
A bit of sunshine does us all the world of good and has us looking forward to the longer days ahead and all the special occasions the coming months bring.

Our latest news
January 2012... A great start to the year with a photo of our BEACH sign being used by pop band One Direction as a backdrop to their live show. The image, which we took on a beach in Norfolk, is being used on a 23 foot screen behind the band during performances on their sell-out tour. Click here to see the image.
December 2011... Our signs are gracing the pages of two top wedding publications this month! Delightful Living wins a Business Award!
We are busy celebrating at Delightful Living after winning a top business award from online retailers notonthehighstreet.com. The company supports over 1800 small businesses and shortlisted us, along with five other companies, for the award. We were announced as winners of the 'Outstanding Growth Award 2011' at an awards ceremony in London on 23rd June. We also made it to the shortlist for 'Personalised Product of the Year Award' for our 'Moment in Time' signs.

About us
At Delightful Living we hand craft beautiful bespoke signs with a vintage inspired finish. Working from our 'delightful' workshop and studio on a farm in rural Derbyshire we use reclaimed wood to create wonderful and unique signs for the home and garden.
All the wood we use has had a previous life such as old floor boards and fencing planks which show the signs of age with uneven edges, raised grain, knot holes and old nail holes - all of which add to the unique character of the wood and gives a rustic look to our signs. Once painted, we gently distress our signs to create an age-old vintage appearance.
Every sign is made to order with your own choice of wording. From song lyrics and memorable quotes, to personalised wedding signs, you choose the wording to create a sign that is completely unique to you.
All our signs feature black lettering which is painted freehand onto a faded cream background giving a timeless classic look. Please visit the gallery to see a selection of our signs and where you can click on the images to see the signs in more detail.
Our signs have received lots media attention and have been featured in many interiors magazines including Ideal Home, Country Living, Period Ideas, Country and Town House and 25 Beautiful Homes. We have also been featured in specialist publications such as the Garden Design Journal.
