About Us

The seeds of our business were sown in 2008 when a chance find in the garden shed led to the making of the first of many handmade wooden signs. A discarded piece of weathered wood, left by the previous owners of our home, soon became a distressed beach sign that looked like it had braved the elements for many years. After showing the sign to the owner of Norfolk shop we took our first order. The word spread and independent gift and interior shops began buying our handmade wooden signs.

Soon magazines were featuring our signs and the business grew beyond the realms of the garden shed and kitchen table and in 2011 we moved to ‘The Old Cow Shed’, situated in picturesque Derbyshire.

In April 2023 we moved to The Courtyard Barn at the historic Eyam Hall in the Peak District National Park. Here we have a retail space full of delightful homewares and gifts, alongside our range of personalised gifts and keepsakes that are designed and made on the premises.

In May 2024 we won the prestigious Muddy Stilletos Award for Best Lifestyle Store in Nottingham and Derbyshire.
