Back in June 2008 Delightful Living was born and our business journey began! We started making personalised wooden signs from the kitchen table and garden shed and when Country Living Magazine featured one of our signs in their publication, the business really took off. In 2009 we were excited to be approached by notonthehighstreet.com to partner with them to sell our products through their online marketplace. The business saw rapid growth as our handmade signs were put in front of not just a wider audience, but the right kind of audience.
We quickly outgrew our limited space at home so, in 2011, we moved the business into a converted cow shed where we spent twelve happy years designing and making while still selling exclusively online.
In April this year we moved to the beautiful Courtyard Barn at the historic Eyam Hall in the Peak District National Park. Our online business now has a physical space with a homeware and gift shop. Here you can order a Delightful Living original personalised gift from us directly in store and your order will be designed and made here in the barn.

Running a small business is rewarding and challenging in equal measure. We have faced many challenges over the years…. and still do! Pandemic, recession, cost of living crisis… all obstacles to navigate. Our journey has not been without its difficult times. But 15 years on we are still loving working for ourselves as much as we did in those early days at the kitchen table.
